All this talk of speedsters makes me want to slow down a bit

Not to mention I don’t see a smoke stack. I could imagine after an hour or two the back seat driver might Suffer from affixation

Driving on much of anything firm with those steel "bar wheels" has to jar your teeth and kidneys right out of you!

That reminds me, I'm so ancient I remember signs on paved roads stating "Lug Wheels Prohibited" although by then, practically all equipment ran on pneumatic rubber tires.
By the way, "speed" is relative. Those who have never operated farm equipment may not comprehend just how incredibly fast things can happen at 2mph !

I just wonder how really efficient it was to pull a harrow, disk or a one way with a T even if it was geared down and had those steel wheels.
Of course when your going as slow as they were and only working a few acres it seemed like it was! Must have been a 10 acre farmers dream!

In many ways, the better conversions would have been about equal to a 9N. Keep in mind the most productive ground could provide a living for a family on 40 acres, and horses were the power source even into the 1950s.

I wonder if that’s a T or early Ford engine in what he’s driving. Maybe some kind of prototype?

Calling it his "automotive plow," Henry Ford had Joseph Galamb and C.J. Smith construct this experimental machine. It is powered by a 1905 Ford Model B engine with copper water jackets.

Do you have any progress pictures? I passed on a really rotten pile of junk model A tractor once. I regret now I wish I would have gotten it for the steel wheels/drive gears.

This is my 1930 or 31 Montgomery Ward Trail Blazer. It's a 27 chassis using a 1930 or 31 Montgomery Ward Kit. In 1929 Wards sold a Shaw and in 1932 the Trail Blazer switched to taller rear wheels with a external tooth bull gear.

Wonderful chunks of iron! One thing that has always attracted me to the model T is how it’s pretty much a tractor and car mixed together. I’ve always wanted to just go rake some hay with one

This should count as a "slowster"
Sheep camp impedimenta on a TT from "down under",I believe. Has a replacement Peerless radiator.

I picture sparks flying off the rear wheels when she hits high gear! I would also like to see it pulling a couple passenger cars or maybe a caboose

I have a narrowed rear axle with gears on it for what i think was a Shaw conversion.
I had a chance to buy a chassis with axles and such that was a Shaw conversion and didn't get it like a ding bat.
