I have this switch that I would like to hide someplace in the '27 touring.
Under the dash does not really lead to any place, but I would like to hear some ideas.
It seems that under the front seat might be the best place.
This is for an amber LED light that is mounted to the driver side bumper bracket.

I am open to suggestions.

How about high on the driver side kick panel, under the dash with the rocker switches pointed down?

I'd ditch the modern rocker switch for a period correct one, push/pull or toggle, and mount it pointing down on a plate fixed to the folded lower edge of the dash.

What is your intention for the amber light? Are you going to turn it off and on frequently as a turn indicator? Or are you using it at night as a running light? If you are turning it on and leaving it on, you could consider mounting it on the outside of the car under the hood or even on the light itself. If you need to control it from inside the car where you can reach it might have a bearing. Some sort of period switch mounted on the steering colum and run the wire down the wire tube on the bottom.
I understand there is a comvination light and horn button and light switch for mounting at this location that was used on electric cars but no dash board.

+1 for Allan's comment re period componentry.

That said I'm not a fan of additional switches, particularly for a Model T (which to my mind is intended to be 'bare' on the dash). Therefore I'd go to some trouble to look for existing switches/levers etc that can be utilised.

In the past I've used touch sensitive switching via individual screws on dashes or interior light fixings, but I'd probably shy away from electronic switching in the T ... which leaves several candidates; one option would be to mount a push-toggle switch in an appropriate place under the dash, and fix a radial thrust plate to either the throttle or advance shaft such that if you simply pull that lever towards you it will toggle the switch. Similarly you could have it operate at max throttle or advance position - but who knows you may want full blast one day!

If you want to know whether the light is on or off then a discreet 3mm LED could be placed at a point around the steering column, slightly behind the plane of the dash panel but in view of the driver.

Steve, I think they lost the plot converting the dimensions of that switch. It's huge if you believe what you read.

Luke, a small push/pull switch, mounted as I suggested, can be hidden. Just mount it further forward and dogleg the bracket up a bit if needed. I find if things are not within easy reach, they tend to be ignored somewhat.
