These are very cool. Looks like it’s a 14 roadster, so must have been brass era when these were produced.
Thanks for showing, Tom

I thought this was interesting. "By 1912 Shinn was on a roll. The local newspaper headlined an article exclaiming “Twenty-Five Million Postcards Yearly Fall From Presses In Designs Created By Cobb Shinn, an Indianapolis Artist.” He was 25.
It was about that time that Shinn came to the attention of the Ford Motor Company. It seems that Henry Ford recognized that the jibes at his Model T (first built in 1908) could be turned to his advantage. Shinn began providing humorous cards poking fun at the Model T. Henry Ford is reputed to have said that “every time someone laughs at a joke about the Model T, I sell another car.”"

Rich, thanks for the post and the link to Cobb Shinn. Great stuff. Some of his cards that I have are, uh, less that complimentary to their subject. I can imagine Henry would be perfectly happy with good natured ribbing of his Model Ts. Free publicity.
Tom, yes they do look like '14 runabouts. There are some cards coming up that have '14 looking tourings and a couple that resemble '15s. There are no copyright dates on the cards, but the postmarks on the "used" cards are from 1915, 1916, and 1917. None of his cards that I have depict black radiator Ts.

According to this article, Cobb Shinn was hired by Ford to develop these postcards as a form of advertising!!

Interesting approach for sure!
