I purchased a set of new triple gears from Dan McEachern last week. The quality is extraordinary. With bushings installed and fit to the pins, each weighs exactly 1017 grams. No need to balance. It was easy to bore the bushings because the ODs of the gear teeth are concentric with the bushing hole making it easy to center off them for boring the bushings. When I ran the triple gears over the drum gears by hand, they meshed completely and silently. First time I purchased new gears and I am very impressed.

Dan is a good man. I've been to his shop. He's got a lot of stuff.

Richard, I have built some trans with his triples they are great, just remember the timing gears while you are building they are the best out there, some things are worth the xtra money spent!
