That is really interesting............but it looks like one of those solutions looking for a problem. With all that oil sloshing around inside, why would you need to "oil" the bands?

Still pretty cool though and deserves a display spot on the wall.

It would be great for start up after a long sit. First start I always add one quart to the transmission on top of the bands.

Actually that accessory isn’t to ‘add oil’, but rather for adding a heavy grease-like compound.

The waxy thick compound squirted out the two nozzles to spread it on the linings, to retard glazing and help reduce chatter.

Missing is the twist T-handle and the tube nozzels, the handle is placed after packing the reservoir, the cap keeps out stuff when the T-handle is removed, plus originally a screen was inside to prevent anything but the compound from getting in the hogshead.

Thought I'd seen em all!! That's pretty cool!

If you open link on patent you can see Mr Evers was the patent idea guy, as assigned the patent to Evers-Savage Co

Seems two styles, early with knurled twist knob, later with T handle. These ads in 1921-1923 so guess not too many, the one ad states to just use cup grease, the other more marketing by selling the compound as special Red Cup

Very cool, thank you, the t handle in not here just a big brass round head screw but does have the tabs for turning it down

There is another variation of that accessory that was advertised as using mica grease. I think that is the one Bob has. The injector tubes are missing.
