1925 Coupe Interior

I am redoing some of my coupe's interior in brown. Door panels, kick panels, carpet, and possibly the headliner.
Can anyone spare some pictures of their restored interiors?
My coupe has no windlace/weather stripping. Any reasons I shouldn't add some?

I would like to keep it as "factory" as I can, but I will be doing the work alone and could use some guides.

I have a 24 Coupe I reupholstered. You mentioned that you might redo the headliner. The headliner goes in BEFORE the top goes on. Ford did it that way. It probably can be done without the top removed but to me it wouldn’t look right I don’t think.
Originally there was windlacing all around the doors.
Good luck and others I am sure will comment also.
I did mine in Grey and at the time it was a bit cheaper than the original style Brown wool.

Thank you John, that is good to know. In that case I would rather leave it be.

This is the brown kit I put in my Tudor several years ago.

Not knowing, I put the headliner in after the top was on. It was possible but not the best way.

Many thanks so far for the pictures and information.
I have noticed some cars have the seat pattern for door panels, and some have headliner pattern.
Is one more "correct" than the other? Both look good.

The 24-25 T coupes look pretty much alike but for a few details. In late 24 Ford started using steel framed doors which may have some type of clips to put the panels on the interior sections.
My car is a mid-late 24 which has a wood framed interior.
Your 25 may have metal framed doors which may have some sort of clips to attach the panels. The earlier cars with wood framed interiors which used small finish type nails to attach the panels onto the wood.
Different kits have been made for T Coupes and not exactly alike. You can use different colors with stripes that would be correct for your car.

I doubt my ‘25 shown above is correct but that is the way the previous owner had it re-done. No reason I can think of why the seats are gray and everything else brown but it is what it is!😊

Here is what I am looking at now, I am having a hard time matching material to my headliner. Does it look like it was redone at some point?

I seriously doubt most folks went back to their Ford Dealership when it came time to replace upholstery. Probably went to their local small town furniture upholstery shop and bought any style and color that pleased them. Thus all the off colors and styles from original.

Go here and you can see almost the same material and color. Scroll down a bit and you can see it. I think what you have is caudaroy.

I admit, now that you bring it up it looks and feels like corduroy. I think my best bet is to match it on the upper door panels between and above the windows, then do the rest of the door/side panels in the same pattern as the seats.

A hearty thank you to everyone for the pictures and insight. My headliner is interesting but definitely not original, thank you Bob for the pictures of your time capsule!

Can anyone spare a photo of where exactly the windlace attaches to the doors?

Hey just curious, does anyone have any extra trim pieces for the drivers side door? I’ve got the bottom piece where the inside handle comes out but missing everything else.
If it matters it’s for the wood framed door not the steel one if it make a difference. Thanks John

Tad, the windlace attaches to the doorway under the upholstery panels with the panel brads.
