A 22 pickup headed to Alaska

Post by Reno Speedster » Sat Jan 15, 2022 4:43 pm

A while back I posted a question about sending a couple of Ts to Alaska. The cars were from a good friend who passed away. One of the cars sold, but this 1922 pickup is coming to Alaska. I thought folks might like to see it. It has Hasslers and a Ruckstell and is in very nice shape. The other car was a 13 touring in similar shape.

My friend Pete was a great guy. He was a professor and a real car guy. When I was in graduate school I used to work on his cars and he and his wife Trudy were great friends. I am very pleased to have one of his cars.

You gonna drive it up the Alcan in winter ?
I don’t know why I turned out this way. My parents were decent people.

No, I am not that crazy. A pal is trying to get me to drive it up in the summer, but I don’t have that kind of time. It will come up by boat from Seattle or get towed up in the summer.

Nice little truck! Where'd the '13 go?

That is a really nice pickup. I think I saw it in the for sale section a while ago. I am sure you will enjoy it.

I have wanted a truck ever since after riding in Tim Wrenn's 1912 commercial truck.

Yes, the truck was posted on the for sale list a while back. The 13 was bought by someone in California. In a way, I am glad. I would have had to scramble to find storage for two more Ts. Though, a touring car would have been nice to fit the whole family. The Speedster project takes up a lot of room in the shop right now…
