I know you folks are enjoying the summer-month events. I have not seen photos of the tours, gatherings, ice cream runs etc. down under. I am sitting here in the frozen north and would really enjoy seeing what is happening in warmer climes. Cheers!

Without getting political, in my part of the world, most social events are off the agenda, or very low key, for the foreseeable future, and not just for Model T's.

I often wonder why there aren’t more of us Aussies on this Forum. It’s a wonderful source of information and assistance

I’m the only one from Western Australia (the home of approx 125 Model T’s)

Allan from “Down Under” in South Australia and the occasional post from the Eastern States Guys.
Similarly, New Zealand do Post

Western Australia has been the state with the lowest Covid 19 infections and this is due in part to our tough boarder restrictions
and isolation requirements. Having said that, we still are hesitant to plan our events too far ahead in case of lock downs

Of the hundred plus T in the southwest of the state we seldom get 10 or more on our Tours. At 68, I’m one of the youngest
T Owner. Others have lost confidence in themselves and their vehicle and modern day traffic is a big put off.

Runs in the country areas over 3-4 days are generally well attended as it’s worth loading up the trailer and driving 3 hours
to a quiet country area.

I’ve yet to learn how to post photos but like Allan in Gawler SA I will learn soon!

In the peak of our Summer it’s too hot to drive our cars as it’s unpleasant. Case in point today is 41 c which is in the range
of 107 F so we don’t plans runs till Autumn and again Spring.

I enjoy all the photos and stories posted on the Forum and visit the site twice a day and will endeavour to send photos
of future and maybe past outings in my T’s. 1910 Tourer / 1926 Roadster Pick up (Ute)

I have done business with guys down under. I will likely never meet them in person but we are mates because of our shared love for old cars. I wonder if they don’t post pics because they appear upside down? I have the same problem with my IPhone sometimes. I would love to go there and have a pint with these guys. I once sold a rare 1927 Buick pot metal distributor to a guy in Adelaide. Due to an erroneous keystroke by the shipper, it went there via the postmeister in Austria. It went more miles by air than it ever did on the ground. Don’t be afraid to do business with people down there. Shipping is costly but you will make great friends.

As JohnH says, there are pretty big limitations at the moment 'down-under'.
Agree with them or not, they do limit size/ nature of what we do.

At the moment the New Zealand Model T club is running its annual rally in the Wairarapa (say that fast three times ), Sadly I could not attend, but we may hope a picture or two might be forthcoming....

I have been enjoying a wonderful Summer of T Touring. A highlight was to take Dad out to lunch for his 85th birthday.
Our club Christmas party was fun, but I attended without the T.
Plenty of other weekend tours have been completed. It has been great to get out and about again, relatively uneffected by Covid.

Here is one, we were on our way to Inglewood, New Zealand for a street party. This was day 4 of the Vero International Festival of Historic Motoring Rally that finished last week.

A couple more of my 1916 (ex Kansas) T

Plans changed for the days run so just a local day and a picnic lunch by the weir.

Here is my 1918 Light delivery on the National Veteran Rally in Cromwell, Central Otago, New Zealand.
