65 MPH stock Model T!!!
Since I got my new 09 touring I have wanted to see what top end was because it did act like it wanted to run every time I took it out but I never drove it over about 30 for short runs. I have seen 65 MPH with the top half of the windshield down according to my GPS! Anyone else had a stock Model T faster than that?

All six of my two-pedal '09's like to cruise in the high 60's. Nothing unusual to all

Glad to hear I am not alone. Wouldn't want to push it too much. What kind of oil do you use? I like vegie oil best but to each his own.
I am glad this day is over for some of us anyway. Maybe we can forget it ever happened?

CBD oil is the best for speed.

Does CBD oil make the car smoke?

Only if the car is equipped with a starter and generator. Smoke is what makes electrical items like that work.

Re: 65 MPH stock Model T!!!
Now that April Fools is over, everything on the internet is true again.
With my 1925 Touring, I managed to tickle 60mph (GPS verified) with it for the first time in 2017, so I like to tell people that its 0-60 time is 92 years. I have been 140mph on a race track in a modern car, and 60mph in the T was a scarier experience.

Derek
You need to get a Volkswagen wagon up to 120mph on the Autobahn with your wife and kids in the car.
Then you can say you went fast, and you sure get to where you are going in short time.
Never been on a race track.

Re: 65 MPH stock Model T!!!
My 1911 years ago on flat road clocked at 66mph. This was done on a 2 mile long new piece of road not yet open to public. The concern would not be how fast a T will go, but how fast it will stop? 50, 60 or 70mph in any T with traffic and debris on a road is not very smart.

Re: 65 MPH stock Model T!!!
I saw an old B&W movie in which a stock Model T achieved a speed in excess of 100 mph! Of course, it was driven off a cliff.........
