Wife calls her Model T Olivia Hardy but I'm calling the rear end Jed because I had to "clamp it".

I was inspired by Steve Jelf, and made a fuel shut off extension for the Fordor. I'll paint it black someday, so it blends in. No more crawling under the car, which was a hassle when it's inside the trailer.

I had my son over this morning to help move some cars around. While I had it out of the shop, I snapped a couple photos in the sun.

Was parked next to a 2018 Peterbilt/ Jerr-Dan 85 ton Rotator. (2 drive axles, 1 bogie, and 2 steer axles).

Very nice, Paul...I have a soft spot for old stuff that was built to work for a living! What brand of wrecker hoist is that?

Took Nelly-Bell the Raloo Rocket out for a drive to seat the new rings. While not a hot day the moto-meter didn't show the engine getting real warm in fact was running a bit on the cool side. My ignition switch is getting flakey and that was the only issue. Had to run a jumper to get last few miles home. She no go with no fuel getting to carb or voltage getting to coil! LOL Did about 20 miles running around.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

I've been having trouble making it up the hill to my house, so I pulled the plugs and cleaned and gapped them, and cleaned the timer. It didn't seem to be running any better, so used a plastic handled screwdriver and shorted the plugs one at a time. The #2 plug had no spark. Swapped #1 and #2 coils, and the dead spark plug moved to #1. Since I only have the four coils, I ordered a rebuilt coil from Lang's. I'll be shipping the bad coil off to the Coil Doctor tomorrow, so when it comes back I'll have a spare. I'm surprised the car drove as well as it did, seeing as how I've been running on 3 cylinders.

I drove the 26 Touring a bit today. Only in Michigan can you wake up to snow on the ground and go for a T ride in thr afternoon.
Meanwhile the Eyre Torpedo continues to look more like a car. Today the painted hood was installed for the first time.

I'm behind schedule, but have pulled the engine earlier this year on my 1922 Fordor. I have in April replaced the clutch plates and spring and put it all together, this time sure that the bolt on the hub is proper positioned in the hole in the shaft. I missed that 10 years ago apparently allowing the hub to slowly move out and removing the pressure on the clutch plates. That led to a slippery clutch. Have not driven it for 2 years.

Took 1924 Simms (built in San Antonio, Texas) Chemical Truck to car show. And won Mayor's Trophy. It was beautiful weather on the Texas Gulf Coast.

I have been making progress on my 15 Runabout restoration:
*Tore down my wheels, prepped the metal parts and sent them to Stutzman's for re-wooding
*Removed everything from the frame but the body and gas tank.
*Took my fenders in to a local company specializing in auto work for low pressure media blasting
*Got my running boards powder coated
*Disassembled the front and rear springs and took them in for blasting and powder coating

I ended the month with a flurry of little chores on the 1923 touring. Replaced the five-year-old battery. Fixed the intermittent ignition/light switch so that when it's on it's on. Adjusted the low pedal so it doesn't bottom out on the floor. Found the brass tube housing for the speedometer sending unit was gone, so made a new one. Now I have to figure out why the other one disappeared.
The inevitable often happens.
