OT Anyone Care to Venture a Guess?

Post by Humblej » Sun Jan 23, 2022 1:20 pm

I caught myself venturing a guess to someone's very specific question this weekend, posted my guess without looking it up first, or look and see how it is on my car. And I got it wrong. I am not alone, but I am not going to point fingers either. Anyway, prompted me to go see how it was on my car and ended up learning something new. Funny how I can look at something for years and not actually see it, and assume it is something other than it is. So, for all of us who need to venture a guess and unintelligibly respond to a posting, I have attached this picture and ask this question: How many beans are in the jar?

Reminds me of a "Poker Run" I put on when living in NC. One of the stops was at Cemetery to pick a card and answer a question.
"How many people are dead and buried in this Cemetery?" One couple were a little late getting back,.....but they probably had the right answer. I had to give that one to them.

There are no "Beans" in the jar.
But, There a lot of "Jelly Beans" in the Jar.

Mt guess is between 216 and 235 pieces. This assumes no broken or off size pieces.

re: THE CEMERTARY COUNT,

The question was how many dead and buried the answer is all of them.
If they are in the cemetery they are dead and buried.

Many widely-recognized experts are in consensus that there are 477.336 beans, or bean-like objects, in the container, or what appears to be a container, and which has been described by some non-experts as "a jar". While some well-respected experts concur on the number of beans in the container, or what appears to be a a container, according to some, other highly-placed experts point out that additional studies are urgently needed to more fully-develop comprehensive, holistic, expert consensus on the exact nature of the container, or container-like object, which may, or may not, contain beans, or some other, possibly toxic substance or substances, which appear, at least to some, including some experts, to exhibit bean-like characterisitics. Experts widely agree that further, in-depth studies are indicated to more fully-establish a broader consensus regarding the exact nature and possible toxicity of the object or objects in the container, which may be a jar, or not, and which may itself be toxic to some degree or other. Important questions remain. Several highly-important groups of widely-recognized experts are now urgently seeking massive new federal funding for a broad-ranging, comprehensive series of in-depth, double-checked, pay-as-you-go, each-tub-on-its-own-bottom, triple blind studies to develop additional , urgently-needed, fully peer-reviewed, expert consensus on these important questions, which, as the Covid Crisis continues, are of paramount importance to every at-risk child and struggling family in America today.

Just what does a jar of jelly beans have to do with a Model T ? Why wouldn't you have started this thread in OT ?

Experts agree that Model Ts are being used by Container Deniers to transport jars of possibly toxic, bean-like substances across state lines!

A panel of experts states that so-called free forms are often dangerously misleading and has issued an urgent warning the public to avoid them. Ask your doctor about free forms and the toxic effects often associated with them. Don't let what happened to Dr. Pogue happen to you!

If the bean shaped objects identify as jelly beans and not as artificial flavor infused gelatin mass's , then I say there is 503 in there. Or slightly more than I can eat in 1 sitting.
If you can't help em, don't hinder em'
