Had an old friend over for dinner tonight and showed him my 1915 for the first time. He, a non-T guy enjoyed it immensely. He then surprised me by giving me a booklet he had mixed in with turn of the century greeting cards he recieved from his Grandparents. Much to my surprise it was a near mint April 1912 catalog. What a cool document to hold in your hands. He knew I would appreciate it and boy, do I ever!

I see there are several scans of this booklet available on the web. I'm not much of a Ford paper collector...Yet. Are these relatively common? Or are they difficult to come across? Doesn't make a big difference to me, just curious. Its got a good home now as part of my literature collection and now has great personal value having come from a thoughtful friend.

Enjoy the shots. The embossed covers are just awesome to view and touch up close!

I think a little bit of bragging by Ford in 1912 as in listing Australia as having a Ford branch owned and directed by the company, Australia had agents and not until 1925 had Ford, and then it was The Canadian Ford company, that was owned and directed by the company.

The booklet is full of bravado. I really enjoy the assertiveness of the early Ford propaganda machine.

It's available in reprint, but so neat to have the original.

Agreed! It's in such great shape. And since I know where it comes from, I know it is not a reprint. Enjoying reading it.

I like the original's. They aren't hard to find.

Good to know. I thought they might have been widely produced at the time, but never really had confirmation. Still a fun piece to be given.
