Would this be a 1909 or a 1910 Ford? I know it is one or the other, but I would like to know which one it is. Are the headlight 1909?

Photo is faint. But the head and side lamps appear to be Jno. Brown, typical of 1910.

1909 did not have a bill on front fender. This one does, so of course it's a 1910

According to Bruce's works, the early '09 did indeed have 'no bill' on the front fenders, and that newer style with bill happened, in his research, after May 1909. So May-June-July 31 1909 built '1909s' could have bills.......and that's no bull :D

I can't see anything in writing, so I don't know whether the picture is reversed. It doesn't look like a tintype, which are reversed the way they are printed. Can't tell for sure which way the clothing is buttoned either. But for an American car, the steering wheel is on the wrong side. Maybe early Canadian or other country where they drive on the opposite side of the road.

 Can you believe it! Even I can make a mistake! I notice the horn is on the left and the driver has his hand on the steering wheel!

Where is the acetylene generator? Maybe the lights have been converted to electric.

Interesting Photo!
I think late 09 / early 10
Is the Crank Handle Brass? Can’t see if the rear axle is the early version with the non tapered style.
Also, the Bloke in the front doesn’t appear to be at the Wheel but how come the Horn is on that side? The Gas Generator
is always on the Drivers side is t it? Early Windscreen too and not the Rands. Can clearly see the Emergency Brake lever and there’s something there but much longer than the lever? Could they also be the E&J Headlights ?
Hopefully others will reply with their knowledgeable views!
Great discussion photo and thank you Herb

No bill on the end of the front fenders seems to id the year. Got some vintage photos from Fordfix & others
