Buddy ended up with several boxes of KRW & assorted tools & pullers - anyone seen or might be aware of what this puller was used for ? I've done my share of both T & TT Ruckstell axles but the size of this puller is BIG ! Any ideas ?

A SWAG would be for pulling the ball bearing?

So the question would be did KRW make tools and pullers for other old vehicles, tractors and equipment besides Ford? Must be somebody on the forum would know if they did. Sometimes at swap meets people will throw in tools in a pile and say their “ old Model T tools”.
It’s looks to me that it’s for pulling pulleys off of large electric motor or equipment shafts. And it’s just a guess.

Steve, I sent a link to Tom Godish to see if he can help.

As this is a Ruckstell tool, my questions would be:
1 Were Ruckstells made for any other vehicles than Ford? (I don't think so.)
2 It's not a wheel puller, so what Ruckstell part does it pull?

I think they made stuff into the model A days.

It’s been a lot of years since I’ve been through my Tt Ruckstell, but I believe there is a lot more space between the bearing and the inner housing end. Again, just a guess.

KRW made tools for lots of manufacturers not just Ford. But all KR Wilson tools I have seen have their name on it.

This puller is quite large - look at my friend's hand - he's not a small guy !

Well, that's surely a possibility ! I don't have a TT rear end handy to tear into - thanks Mark ! First I'd seen any specifically named Ruckstell tool.

If it is, it’s a rare tool. Diagram shamelessly stolen from Martin.

Steve -- There is a group on FB called "KR Wilson and Other Vintage Automotive Tools." https://www.facebook.com/groups/237943774190155
Maybe someone there would know about it.

Appreciate the assistance fellas ! I don't participate in any "social media" - not my thing !

I can visualize it being used to remove the large ball bearing from the carrier with no axle shaft present.

As Tom said; K R Wilson was proud of their tools, so going with this was not made by them, they would have been marked as such. He didn't know, except might be bearing puller as suggested above.
