For our Americans, that’s close to 45F!!

Funny thing, in late Oct., early November 45F is too COLD to drive the T. But now, gimme 45 degrees and it's just warm enough as long as I wear a jacket and hat! Go figure.

Drove my express wagon at MINUS 7C recently, around 19-20F. I get some funny looks, but comfort-wise it’s probably not much different than driving a snowmobile.

It got up to about 57F here today. I drove about 20 miles, no coat, 2 T shirts, blue jeans. The car loves cool days with a high barometer.

I suspect that is quite warm for Canada! I live near San Diego, about 20 miles from the Mexican border and the low has been below that this winter. However after the sun rises, it usually gets up above 50F and today was almost 70F. One January we went to Moses Lake Washington and I was surprised even though the sun was out, the ice didn't melt all day.

It takes A LOT of HEAT to melt ice.

Took my wife to the Dr the other day and the 32 y/o jeep balked at -15F. Two batteries, oil pan warmer and starting fluid coaxed it to life. It's been kind of recalcitrant these last two winters. At these temps it is useless to even attempt to start a T.

That darn global warming is pretty selective as to where it hits.

I think I have a misprint in that first post. It can't be 45 in Canada if it is only 45 down here.
The snow would be all melting. I think it must be -7 C up there. Did I get that wrong Chris?

Dave, our high yesterday was +3C (+37F). Thanks to the sun there was some melting, particularly on roads and sidewalks. Some snow melt would have evaporated but most refroze last night. This is warmer than usual for late February but we’ve had some unusual temperature swings this winter.
