Has anyone ever heard of Hobbs Wind wings dated 1923? I have a set but haven’t been able to find out much about them. I don’t have them handy to take a picture right now. Maybe someone else has or knows something about them.

Thanks,
Robbie

They look very nice! I have wind wings on my 27 roadster and really like them. They are a simpler design than these. Considering that I have a 21 roadster project in the “Que” I probably would like to copy yours!!

The 'claw' ends grip the windshield stanchions (uprights). The 'flapper' end grips a piece of glass cut in a rectangular shape, usually with the corners rounded. The 'flapper' (for want of a better description - the end with the flat 'grips') may have thin felt or thin rubber between the metal and the glass. This results in two upright 'wings' one each side of the windshield to deflect wind away from driver and passengers.

Different wings (and on a hot rod ... but... it seems to be a T bucket!):

The ‘24 touring I bought last October came with wind wings but are quite a bit different; each side has two independent clamps. I don’t see any maker’s mark on them.
