1912 Carbide Gas Line Strap

Guys, my 12 is a Aug date. I'm assembling the carbide gas line. I have read on other posts that there was a gas line strap the fastened just forward of the handbrake to hold the line. I've read the posts with having the strap for 13's. Did 12's have this strap? Any of you with a 12 summer build (June-Aug) confirm this?
This is the strap I'm referring to.

Sorry I can't answer your question, but I really like the looks of that clamp, is it available new from the vendors? I'd like to put some on my 1912 Flanders 20.

Mike-
I'm not sure about specifics for 1912, but here is the piping and clamps I did for my November-ish 1911.

'14 Has just one of those clamps on the long line from the gas generator to the radiator.

Check your frame. There will be a hole for it, and I too believe there is only one.

Larry,
That’s what I thought. Also from what I read the earlier set up without the built in radiator crossover tubes the line ran outside the frame as where the later 12 and on system ran inside the frame rail correct?
thanks Mike

Here are a couple shots of the clamp on my June 1913 Touring.

So it appears 13’s had one clip. Any 12 owners out there that can verify how many clips are on their car that have the crossover radiator tubes?
Thanks
Mike

From all the photos I've seen, those brackets need to be removed and re-shaped!

I just looked under my late '12 slab side touring and I have 2 clips and the crossover tube on the radiator. Can't swear it's all original as the car was restored back in the 60's and has a Brassworks round tube radiator.

Dan and Ed,
Are those square head bolts and nuts 3/8" across the flats? With a 1/4x28 thread?

Val can you get a picture or tell me about where the clamps are located? I know one is near the handbrake. Where is your second clamp located?

Keith,
Yes, the bolt is 1/4”-28, 3/4” overall length, and the head is 3/8”across the flats.
It is the same type of bolt that bolts the engine pans to the frame rails on my car.

Anyone have a source for those bolts? 1/4 x28 square head?

My early '13 has a mostly 1912 frame. Built in October 1912. It has the one clamp like the others have shown with the square head bolt and square nut.

Someone may remember a few years back the posting of measurements and diagram prints from the Ford Archives.I know I printed it off and used it for the routing for a April 1912 car. If I can find this I will share. Someone with more computer skills may search and find easier.I made my clamps, bent my lines, exactly to the specs. Also Langs sells the brass hose clamps in my research they are not correct. I believe Henry had no clamps on the hoses. .

Keith was RV going to make you the bolts or the brackets?
Sure do miss him and his talent.

Mike, I finally got back under my '12 this morning. Where it is stored it is hard to get under it and there is no good lighting so I can't take pictures but the first clip is as shown in the pictures others have posted right by the clutch/hand brake cross shaft. The second clip on my car is 5" back from the rear bolt holding the steering bracket and uses one of the holes for the engine pan. As I said before I can't swear that this is correct but it is the way I got the car many years ago. As a further caution, the gas line has clearly been replaced at some point when the previous owner added a gas bottle to supply the lamps instead of the acetylene generator.
