This cab has sliding/roller doors and sliding door and seat-side windows. Reference the 24-25 MP Dealers Catalogue for Standardized Commercial Bodies "No. 79 Drop Sash at Seat Side. Original windows have a 1 inch webbing loop attached to the window - see attached pictures. Do not find any other attachment point in the surrounding original wood pieces for the webbing
Question - were the anti-rattle springs supposed to e sufficient to hold the window in place when raising/lowering the window or is there some aother arrangement
window in place when raised or is there some other arrangement ??
Your help appreciated.

On mine, the side springs keep the window from rattling. I think the option is all the way up, or all the way down, don’t think they would hold in a partial up position. On one of mine, it had the small boards to protect the glass when lowered, and on another, a pretty fancy tinwork that protects the glass when lowered. I’ll see I find I can add pics.

Thanks for response. The doors have metal panels both sides for glass protection and the seat side wood frame has two outer metalpanels - one that covers the two upper side strips and the larger the lower portion of the side panel for protection. the No 79 Drop Side at Seat Side Code Word Ivory says "'or holds in any position" statement is hat has puzzled me.
Any webbing loops on your windows re mine.

Thanks Bron, I had a small metal piece on the bottom of each sash, so never knew what it was until I saw your window. I will now install a web strap to pull up. Thanks to Steve Lang for sharing pics of the original, I have decals replicated that I would be glad to send you. They were placed on the header board in the cab, and reminded owners to tighten their nuts up every so often !

Tim - Saturday morning. Turns out the bottom web strap is a kluge - just tacked on and would have to be turned 190 degrees to clear the slats below.
Pulled out the other side window and door windows - there is only one attachment point and that is on the top sash with a 10/32 carriage bolt on both door and side windows. This supports the notion that the anti rattle springs were expected to hold the window in place - fortunately 2 and 3/4 flat window springs are readily available from McMaster Carr - about $6 for 25. These are used in window screens.
Attached is picture of the other side window installed - note the 4 inch web strap carriage bolt install at the top sash(green tape) Looks like an appropriate arrangement would be such a strap with either a lift a dot fastener or a common sense "Murphy" fastener at the end (Lang Catalogue page 194-5. Any pictures would further help to nail this down.
Yes - on the tighten your nuts notice. My address is
