Bad case of the knocks

Post by Powerwagonmaniac1 » Sat Apr 20, 2019 10:34 pm

Our model t Tin Tillie came down with a bad case of the knocks & a whole lot of ugliness going in there. I have a completely worn out engine but good transmission. I am in the process of building a big overhead valve motor for her but it will be a couple of years yet, finances mean it will be a slow build. Does anyone have a useable bottom end ( block, crank, connecting rods pistons) for a couple hundred or less that I can bolt to my transmission. I would like to drive it some more the next couple of years. I am in Portland Oregon. 503-896-0046

Have you looked at the crankshaft yet ?
Maybe possible to fit some new/used rods and get by for a while...if the crank is not damaged.

Cranks not bad. But all the cylinder are badly egg shaped .025 to .035 out of round.Standard bore 3.75 #1 piston huge crack in it. Aluminum pistons. Been used and abused for the last 40+ years ( I like to say she has 100,000 miles on her crank still looks good still need to mic the rod journals. Just thinking worst case
senerio.
