Has anyone used the english tubes in wire wheels with metal fellows. I wonder how there 3" stem works out with a thinner metal rim such as my Budd wire wheels.

How long does it take to get them once ordered? Is anyone stocking and selling them in the US?

just askin'

How much do they cost? Do the valve stems come our easily, so we can put the correct ones in?

Prices are online, and there have been a couple of threads regarding shipping costs of tires and tubes in the last year or so... I don’t recall if anyone spoke about only shipping tubes, or if the effort to inventory Blockley tires/tubes here in the states ever worked out.

The stems are not coming out without a fight. The tubes are 1/8” thick material, and the stems are vulcanized in. I’ve never cut in, or used metal stem tubes before these, so someone else will have to answer this one

I don't believe there is a USA distributor yet. I think it has to do with the current cost of sending large shipments across the pond. If I were using Blockley tubes I would keep the stems, and not try to replace them with correct ones. Pesumeably you will put dust covers over them, so Larry won't see them. :D

Please explain what a wire wheel is that has metal felloes.

Are they made any other way?

Good point David. In my experience only Hayes made wire wheels with metal felloes. They are the only ones I know of which have the tyre fitted on a separate rim that de-mounts in the same way as they do on wooden spoked wheels. Perhaps there is some confusion between rim and felloe.
