I know many intake manifolds are iron and marked with the Ford name, some are aluminum but how do you tell the difference between a standard intake manifold and a high-volume manifold?
Thanks in advance,

The larger diameter of the intake flange where the carburetor attaches as well as the greater internal volume of the aluminum intake manifolds is termed ‘high volume’ - as compared to the more numerous cast iron intakes.
