1927 Coupe Color

The recent post " Genghis Klan and Martin Berry" showed a 1927 coupe. I believe the color is "probably" close to the original color of my 1927. I have found a formula for a maroon that I plan to use. However, I would use the color in the post if I could find a formula or information on such a color. I am not very optimistic that such information can be found.
Any thoughts on this?

I have decided to paint my coupe marron. Here is the test sample. The fenders, splash panels and running boards will be black.
A good MTFCA member gave me the formula. We added a little black to it.

Bruce, you have done exactly what I have done in the past. The little colour chips in the books are way too small for me to get an idea of the overall effect, so I look for a car with the colour I'd like to use. Your fuel tank does the same thing. On my last two restorations I was able to access areas of the original colour in behind the rear fenders. Otherwise all the colours I have used have been factory colours from more modern cars. That gets more difficult these days with so many metallic/pearl finishes.

But here in the US the latest thing by the manufacturers is bringing back solid, non-metallic colors. Their use is primarily on trucks, but I have seen a nice Battleship gray on some Ford pickups, and I think Jeep has a non-metallic blue. There are others.
