Junk in head

Is there any problem with some black residue and junk when i look through the spark plug hole?

That sounds like typical carbon/soot deposits. If the engine is running OK, I'd drive it. Normal driving for trips of 10 miles or more will probably reduce the amount of carbon substantially, assuming the engine is in good to fair condition.
