Gallivan's DOHC Head and Earlier BB Rajo Equipped Engine with a SOHC Conversion

Jack E. Gallivan is well known for his remarkable gear-driven DOHC conversion above. But, before he produced
that masterpiece he designed the gear-driven elevated SOHC conversion below for a Rajo BB heads that apparently
was his first OHC equipped T-based racing engine he used in his race car below.

Although, not diminish Gallivan's accomplishment, it appears he like many others before him, he built a
heavy duty SOHC version modeled after one half of the top end of the 1912 and '13 Peugeot DOHC
engine below. Georges Boillot won the 1912 French Grand Prix in his Peugeot, and in 1913 Jules Goux
won the Indy 500 race with a Peugeot.
