'Wells System'???
Does anyone have this 'Wells System' or at least know how it works? I saw this pic on the Internet and am trying to find out more information about it.

Re: 'Wells System'???
The Wells System is an electric lighting and starting system for Model T Fords that were built before Ford offered their electric lighting and starting system in 1919.
Here are the instructions for installing it in 1915. The R.C.Wells Company was started in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin in 1903, and they are still in business today making electronic and electric parts for the new cars.
THE MTFCA WONDERFUL WISCONSIN TOUR will be based in Fond Du Lac in a few weeks, on June 19th to the 24th.
There is still time to register and there are plenty of rooms available. The Dairyland Tin Lizzies have a great, fun-filled week planned!

Re: 'Wells System'???
The price for the complete unit was $115.
The light bulbs are 14 volts.
The batteries for the touring car and the sedan were under the rear floorboards.
The batteries for the roadster were in the rear "turtle".
A special shaped battery was furnished for the Coupelet, to be placed under the seat next to the gas tank.

Re: 'Wells System'???
Jim Sr. Thank you for posting all this information on the Wells System. It would be interesting if anyone has one of these on a T and is in working condition.
Thanks again and Best wishes,
Keith
