Crazy ideas... Yes, it would work, to a degree. A better idea would be a deep-finned lower water pipe.

I like old ships and this a a pretty cool cap.

If I had one, I'd put a small speaker in the bottom of it, and then when people are looking at the car, I'd quietly whisper "help me" "help me" into the microphone to freak them out!

I do like the idea of a finned lower radiator pipe too, I also think that would work.
