The VMCAA was in our area with about 24, 1 & 2 cylinder cars. Nice bunch of folks and neat cars. Our local club of 6 Model Ts gathered at my house and toured the short trip to where this group took a mid-day stop at a church. Then of course afterward it was on to the town ice cream shop for lunch and ice cream. Why not, right?

Last pic is of a Maxwell AA or AB - 12 hp. I’d like to arrange a starter motor like that on my ‘10 AA. Otherwise, while I’m cranking, someone has to push down on the accelerator. Would like to see more pics of how this was engineered. Did he lose both fonts ?

George, I have no idea. Sorry. Sure was fascinating to see all these different engines, how massive they were, the flywheels on some were huge! And almost all were chain drive. They sure sounded nice when they were started up.

Most of those cars use a starter generator like what came on cub cadets and then they use a belt that has several grooves on one side

 That's exactly what I told one of my club friends yesterday! We had one at the school system where I was the Facilities Director, that old cub just wouldn't die!! That gen/starter rolled 'er over slower 'n molasses but it always started! Back when they made things to last.
