Lopez in Santa fe springs? He has the best reputation. I personally trust his work. I verify.
Warning. There is another guy Castillios. Also in Santa fe springs?

A customer had a short block done. The builder claims one of these 2 ground the crank.
The crank nose /gear has a run out in front of the seal @ .006". This has played hell with this motor.
Varied gear mesh making for noticeable excessive gear noise & 3 neoprene lip seals that leak.
I have never had this issue before.

I looked up some old e-mails and both Larry Blair and Jay Steele at Taylor Engine used Lopez Crankshaft. My notes say they are located in Whittier.
Jay was a top vintage engine builder in SoCal, so if he was happy with their work you should be in good hands.
