Making up a list of items that need to go to the plater and wasn’t sure about a few things. On my two project vehicles should the following items be nickel plated or painted?
1927 TT:
-ignition switch plate (oval style)
-windshield pivot slides
-windshield pivot clamp nuts
-outer door handle
-inner door handle
1927 Tudor:
-windshield pivot slides
-windshield pivot clamp nuts
-door sills plates that say “Ford”
Thanks!

Nathan,.. what are you calling “windshield pivot slides”? The pivot clamp nuts on both vehicles will be nickel and, if I understand you have a factory enclosed cab TT, the inner door handle will be painted.

Thanks for the info! Yes, it is a standard Ford closed cab, and by pivot slides I’m trying to describe the flat plate with a slot in it to hold the windshield in the open or closed position.
Does anyone know about the oval ignition switch panel? I’m assuming on a truck it would be less-fancy and be painted instead of nickel. What about Tudor door sills?
Thanks again

Oval ignition switch panel with an ammeter hole is nickel plated, oval switch without an ammeter hole is painted black.

Door sill plates are usually zinc. They were nut plated on our Canadian sourced cars.
