International French Model T concentration Verdun 2022

Post by AndreFordT » Thu Jun 30, 2022 12:44 am

Last weekend we took part of the international French Model T happening this time in Verdun 2022.
This concentration is each year always on the last weekend of June on an other place in France.
Last time was in 2019, due to Corona,2020 and 2021 didn't happen so you can imagine the joy we had to see back some old freinds.

Here a few links with the photos of teh weekend.

Many thanks for posting Andre, the pictures brought back many pleasant memories.
I spent several years living not far from there and often visited in and around Verdun. I remember both the beauty of the country lanes and forests (with great picnics) and the sombre note of the old battlefields and forts.

So glad to see so many Ts out there,

Kind regards, Adrian

Absolutely wonderful pictures!
I’m reading a book about anti-gravity. I just can’t put it down.

Verdun is a place of beauty today, a far cry from the devastation of WWI. It is wonderful seeing people in Model T's able to enjoy the peace and tranquility won by the sacrifice of so many. Thanks for sharing.

I recall standing in the middle of the battlefield reserve. It was estimated that as far as you could see with the naked eye in all directions there was an average of one bullet or shell of some sort for EVERY SQUARE INCH you could see.
I remember thinking it looked like a stormy sea 'frozen' in place...

I just forgot to tell:
At the end of the event, each year the organisation tell the region for the organitation the year after.
In 2023 this Model T happening will take place the last weekend of June 2023 in Nantes (Loire Atlantic) at the West coast.

I am already looking out for this.
