So when you are just to old to run the steamer, you and your truck get relegated to haul firewood for the next generation of engineers

Actually this was a bit of a lesson day to get a couple of new young men some time on the back of the American West Heritage Centers Case 60hp steam engine. The living history farm is set in 1917, and Saturday was the Pioneer Day Festival at the Farm.
Here is where the real instruction took place.

All in all it was a good day, plenty of fun to go around.

The 60 Case was apparently a real sweetheart. Someone's Elgin-Watch 60 comes to mind.
I've run an 80 and it was an absolute dream to run around with.
