I received this request and thought I'd put it out here to see if anyone could help Mark out. If so, please connect with Mark directly.

Hi my name is Mark Rose and I work in the engineering department at Knapheide manufacturing and for our 175th anniversary we are going to recreate a Knapheide grain bed that was sold for the Model T back at that time. I was wondering if any of your members would happen to have a grain bed from that era they would be willing to take some pictures of and share with us to aid in recreating this accurately? Thanks for your time

I don't know what a Knapheide body would look like but this is our grain bed, I think it would be Canadian.

Absolutely need some pictures - marking disappear over time
Here is a possibility

Say the truck bed was originally purchased by a Farmer in Iowa (Knapheide Manufacturing is in Quincy IL which boarders Iowa) Its up for sale. There are several Model T gurus in Quincy - so getting one to run shouldn't be a problem.

Same here in Texas. I tried to use the link and it was a no go 3 times.
Im sure the person who is trying to find a picture or survivor of the Knapheidi grain box has checked old files about their products since the company is still in business and he works there. They have a neat website and a section about their history. Maybe they have some old drawings or pictures of their products. But maybe not either. Maybe there are some out there somewhere.

I just tried it and got an immediate response. Could be that your Security software or they were updating their site.
Here's the story - Contacting the seller is by their website like the Forum does so, if you can't get to it .. if you want me to see if its still available I can do

This is a modern brochure but shows a cut from a 1920s Knapheide sales literature with a grain/farm box on a Ford TT.
http://farmbro.com/wp-content/uploads/2 ... chures.pdf
1940 Knapheide sales brochure - construction of the grain boxes shown is similar to the Ford above.

I would ask the person inquiring if the Knapheide company has an archive with catalogs and/or photos from the era that actually show a Knapheide grain box from the 1920s.

I got the link that was posted so that’s OK. Looks like I was right about the company having old sales brochures about their products. Hope the inquirer has good luck with the project.
Could very well be some old documents at the company somewhere about the T grain bed. It will take some digging but it could be there.

This morning, the link worked just fine.
Mr. Brandi Thank you for posting that beautiful truck link. I remember this truck being for sale years ago. The date on the bottom of the ad is 2020. Do you know if this truck is still for sale? I expect it sold long ago although, at the time I thought the asking price was WAY to high. But, what do I know?
Cheers,
Terry
