I wonder whether the y were able to pull it up! That would be very hard to do while stepping aside so you would not be crushed!

This is a TT farm cartage truck. You can see bales of wool behind the truck where they rolled down the hill. Two ladies do look like nurses, but I have no information as to why they are there.

How do we know that they weren’t the ones that flipped it over in the first place, after the husbands were caught trying to make an escape to the local pub?

It looks like they lost part of the load before the wreck. Bales may have been stacked high with a lot of overhang on the sides, and if the load got loose on one side, it could have severely unbalanced the truck.
