Drivng to OCF?

Post by Steve Jelf » Mon Aug 08, 2022 12:56 am

I plan to drive my 1915 from Kansas again, and Dave Hjortnaes aims to drive his touring (1922?) from Wisconsin again. Anybody else driving from outside the Detroit area?

Looking forward to seeing this. Been missing the excitement the Coast to Coast thread was giving us.

Wishing you safe travels, Steve and Dave! I'm really looking forward to meeting up with our Old Car Friends in September. We're planning to leave Grayling on the Thursday before the OCF. Trailering the Fordor behind the RV from Grayling to the Saginaw area. Camping overnight somewhere, and seeing part of the Frankenmuth Autofest on Friday, then the Piquette Plant Friday afternoon. We'll check in Friday evening, and camp wherever they designate Friday night.

I'm thinking of camping on the grounds, off Michigan Avenue (no, not US 12), like some of the other folks. That's east of the game field.

Going to Knot county Kentucky for 5 days the week before OCF. Too much going on and still working out of town alot. I will miss the ride in the speedster but your taking the touring this year anyway.
