Closed Cab Pickup ?
While I realize Ford never made a closed cab pickup, I wonder if I could get opinions on what year and model of closed car this one started out as. Sure looks nice!

Re: Closed Cab Pickup ?
If that had a metal bed modified a bit to fit better to the back of the cab, that would be 1 of the coolest T's I have seen in a long time.
If you can't help em, don't hinder em'

‘24-‘25 coupe. LR fender points to ‘25. Rear of cab too nicely done for a sedan.
I don’t know why I turned out this way. My parents were decent people

Re: Closed Cab Pickup ?
While I can’t say for sure on this one, many of the closed Model T’s converted to closed cab pickups were done using 1924-25 or 1926-27 Tudor’s. On the 1924-25 T’s the Coupe’s attached deck made this conversion harder. I would say this T pickup was once a 1925 4 door in this case, because of short front doors from a 4 door and the 1925 rear fender although the front fenders look like they are the 1924 type with the exposed bead.

There is a 1926 Lincoln in this area that was given a similar treatment. Whoever did it did a first class job.

Re: Closed Cab Pickup ?
I believe this shows that it was a 1924-25 Tudor. The door proportions, visor, cowl and splash apron look exact to me. The rear upper body panel does look different but I don't believe it is Coupe or Fordor. Maybe custom or extended. There is a vent in the cowl although not clearly seen. Coupe and Fordor doors were not that wide.
It would certainly be a fun car.
Rich
P.S. This shows the same view of a coupe. Notice the narrower window and transition to trunk.
We had a '24 Packard and some Buicks with that treatment in our area. It was a typical modification. It would certainly be a fun car.

When did I do that?

This one is a shortened Tudor

Re: Closed Cab Pickup ?
Wow! Thank you one and all, this is some really great information. Makes it clear it was a Tudor.
Has anyone ever documented this conversion that would like to share their experiences?

Re: Closed Cab Pickup ?
Bear with me here as Iam not advocating for hot/rat rods but this idea has crossed my mind. Taking a Tudor or fordor and adding a bed to the back of it. Obviously it would take some fabrication to the chassis components. Linda like the family extended cab/crew cab pickup.
this picture is only for the general idea. One with actual T body parts ,chassis ,wheels would be spectacular.“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t-you’re right.”

Ha Rich, that must have been custom built for Robert Wadlow.

Rich I love it! For long journeys so you can stand up or for special occasions when you wear your 10 gallon top hat
