Shoutout to Doug Hauge

Post by Stryk » Mon Aug 15, 2022 7:47 pm

Probably about a year ago, my 26 began to have starting difficulties. By a stroke of luck, or divine intervention (I choose the latter), I was able make contact with Doug Hauge. This past week, I had the car towed to a garage near his house and he has busted his butt for 4 days replacing the flywheel ring gear and making many other needed repairs and upgrades. In my younger years, I may have attempted to fix it, but the best I can do these days is watch, learn and help do what I can do. it has been a delightful, educational experience. The car will likely be back on the road tomorrow. I will miss spending the hours learning from him. He truly loves these cars, loves people, and goes above an beyond to promote the hobby. I don't know how I can ever repay him, but this huge THANK YOU will be a start!!!
