gonna tackle the longest, steepest hill so far

Friday and Saturday night cruise-ins are back in full swing here again. There is one about 7-8 miles from our house that we go to most Friday nights, weather permitting. We have taken our other vehicles, a '40 Chevy sedan and a '55 Studebaker truck, but have not yet driven our '21 Touring there. We will tomorrow, or next Friday, depending on the weather. There is a long steep hill that I will have to deal with going, and coming back of course. The hill going to the cruise is longer but not as steep , being stretched out over a longer distance. We might get down pretty slow before we cross the top, especially on the trip home. It is a two lane highway so other traffic will just have to go around if they need to.
A buddy has made the trip with his '23 T and he says he tops the hill at about 20 MPH and his engine is getting pretty tired where our engine is fresh, with less than 50 hours on it, so I should do well. We will see.

I expect your fresh engine will handle it easily. It would have to be a mighty steep hill to make you low-pedal it.

I dropped a gas tank off at UPS yesterday, about 6-8 miles away. Shortest route is up one of the steepest hills around here, my first attempt was yesterday up said hill.
At the bottom I was in "high Ruckstell" (3:1), doing about 50mph. I hit low Ruckstell just before the crest at about 25mph. It was starting to lug, but I could have made it without shifting.
I was pleased with that.

You'll make it... :)
