I am restoring a 1926 Fordor and came across the subject of body blocks which go between the body and frame. Does anyone have experience with this, photos, diagrams, details, etc.?

I purchased these blocks for my 1927 coupe. There was several problems. One of the blocks had the bolt holes miss located as can be seen in the photo. The second and fourth blocks from the left in the second row are too thick. My coupe takes two more of the type in the top row.
The blocks in the top row are for the front of my coupe. The ones in the middle are for rear of the body. The ones in the bottom row are for the middle of the body.
The block on the left in the bottom row is from my coupe.

The 1926 Fordor is nothing like the improved, all steel styles of 1926-‘27. I don’t know why but the 1926-‘27 Fordor is more like the 1925 Fordor with a wooden frame and the gas tank under the seat. Perhaps they ran out of time before redisigning an all steel 1926 Fordor and decided to keep the 1925 Fordor body design and mate it with the new 1926 fenders. Because of this, although I own a 1926 coupe, I don’t know if the body blocks are are similar. Most likely, they are totally different. Jim Patrick
