Since I don't live too far from the MI boarder I took the hour drive up to his place to pick up my restored Rubes horn and carbide generator. Rick does exceptional work, a true craftsman. I thought I would share a few photos of his shop/tools and the level of expertise that goes into his restorations. He has wooden forms for just about any brass headlight and parts and can spin new brass parts.
Carbide Generator before restoration. Someone had completely taken it all apart and it needed polished, re-soldered and a new top tank ring made. After Rubes Horn before. This horn was in really solid shape when I found it on Etsy marketplace for $100. It Needed polished, small dents taken out and horn bell straightened out. After Pictures of Brittens Brass Works shop
