Old Car Festival, Dearborn - pictures?

With the OCF coming up this weekend, I figured I'd put some feelers out. Who's all going to be there, and with what vehicle? Since I don't have my own Car to enter (yet!), I usually end up walking around and taking pictures of all the interesting and unique vehicles I see. If I know who and what I'm looking for, I'll try to track you down and take some pictures for you all.
This is definitely my favorite event of the year, and I hope to see you all there!

I'll be there with our '14 Touring and will be parked with the other '14's, but not with the cars being judged. My car is a nice driver, but not judging quality. You can recognize my car as it has accessory demountable wheels, black wheels and rims and gray lugs.

I will be there, but the T is staying home. I'll be in the red 1923 Stanley Steam Car. If anyone wants a ride in the steamer, just flag me down.

Look forward to being there on Saturday and seeing as many forum members as possible. My 26 Touring isn't ready for prime time yet (but it's fun to drive around the neighborhood and work on).
Joe, I would very much like to catch a ride in your steamer!

I'm making myself a list to track down when I'm there. Joe, I'd imagine it shouldn't be too hard to find you. I may take you up on that offer for a ride!

For those that want to take a rude, I will be in the red 23 Stanley. It is a condensing car so it looks like a big gas car, not a coffin nose. Throw a thumb out if you see me drive by, or when parked I will be in the judged area

I believe both Steve Jelf and David Hjortnæs will be present, Steve in his 15 Roadster and David in his Touring.

I will be in the non-judged 1911 area when parked, but if all goes well I will be driving around or playing old car games. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Nice to see some pictures of OCF. How many cars this year? I was there in 2011 and there were over 900 registered. Where else can you go and see that many cars 1932 and older.

Not sure how many were registered this year but it seems like there weren’t as many cars there as in previous years.

I'm just finishing up the first part of a 2 part Youtube. I should have it wrapped up tonight after work. I'll post a link when it's up. The second part should be done by this weekend.

Jeff,
Was wondering about you. Missed you at OCF and wondered if you made it there this year. Maybe you were avoiding me, which would be understandable

I was the one in the arm cast. Saw you drive by once. I didn't go to the Friday reception since I didn't need to drop off my TT. Couldn't bring it this year with the broken wrist. We must have just missed each other.

Jeff, I had a nice talk with your Dad. I didn't think you were there. Sorry I missed you. I plan to see Uncle Charlie soon. Our son bought a house not far from him.

We only made it for a few hours, hit Randy Hayward's motorcycle show Saturday in the morning with my son and his girlfriend, then did lunch and shopping downtown Detroit in the early afternoon. He convinced me to stop by OCF, and I'm glad we did.
Met up with some of his friends down by the lagoon, and hooked up with a Barnstormer brother as well. Took a ride in his speedster, and watched the shenanigans with my son's friends loading up a 29 Lincoln with 11 people and cruising. Oh, to be young again.
Had some great conversations with Steve Jelf both Friday and Saturday night when he got back to our place. Kinda makes me want next year's show to come faster...
Sorry to everyone I didn't see. We stayed kind of sequestered down with my son's friends, but did walk the whole village a couple times and saw many people driving but they went by too fast to say hi (Rob Heyen, I'm looking at you, buddy! NEXT YEAR I'll shake you down for a ride in 'my" K!

)
All in all, it was a really fun day and I'm grateful for those I did get to see.
v/r,
jk

Of all the cars I have ridden over the years, I think the K is the cat's meow. Better than the RR, the Packard, etc.

It's too bad Henry hated them so much. Could you imagine if they made 15,000,000 Ks? Oh, the possibilities...

By not taking the time to peruse these forums the last couple of months I missed out on several opportunities to meet with some of you.

I would have really enjoyed rides in the Model K and Stanley! Also would have liked to have seen the letter car gathering at the Piquette plant.
Not to be outdone by Steve Jelf and Dave Hjortnaes I did drive my plain-Jane ‘24 touring car all 44 miles from Brighton

, but the early 20’s cars were off the beaten path on the Village’s Michigan Avenue just up from the duck pond.

- Passing through Novi on the way to OCF.

- Bonnie overlooking the duck pond.

Most of the time my 1920 Touring was parked up in from of the Edison building across from the trucks. I guess I did not follow the instructions, but I am known for that. Next year the speedster should be with all the other speedsters.

Love the photos, and the videos are the bees' knees. I'm already looking forward to next time, but I have a few things to fix first.
