A clutch question. Forgive me if this sounds stupid

But has anyone ever modified the clutch foot pedal and converted it to a shifter lever?
I don't mean for a Ruckstell shifter. I am just wondering about operating the stock ford pedal by hand like a jockey shifter.

Well, I would say the hand brake does exactly what you are looking for.
1. Pull it all the way back for brake.
2. Halfway is neutral. In neutral you can press clutch for low gear.
3. Push forward for high gear (or neutral or low gear depending on where you push the pedal.

Some have converted their Ts to hand controls in the past.

The second lever on an early 1909 Ford operated that way.
Now I don't recall if you pulled it back or pushed it forward to engage the reverse band.
