Bending Bendix washers
Concerning bendix spring bolt washers. Does it matter where the tab that bends down rests? Should it touch the outer surface of the bendix spring or should it be down in "the gap" and the end of the spring

Re: Bending Bendix washers
The lower tab locks into the spring eye gap. It does matter.
To be clear, its the pre bent tab that goes in the gap. The tab you bend rests against the lock bolt face.

Thanks. Is it in the gap enough as is or do you have to bend it into the gap a little more?

Re: Bending Bendix washers
It just needs to be in the gap enough so that the washer can't rotate and allow the bolt to back out.tom_strickling wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 7:02 pmThanks. Is it in the gap enough as is or do you have to bend it into the gap a little more?
