Definitely a novice but learning. I am new to the forum. I have 1924 Model T Touring that I need to replace the rear wheels to match the front. I have 30x3 1/2 demoutable wheels in the front I was able to pick up these two wheels f pictured below for the rear. To get the right rims I'm having trouble identifying if these demountable wheels are a Hayes or Kelsey so I can start looking for the right rims for the wheels. The wheel's are 23" but I don't see any markings to identify the maker.

Question #2 - Can I use split rims with these wheels or better question is there any restrictions to using split rims? I have clincher tires the Wards Riverside. Any input or direction would greatly be appreciated

Q2: Split rims are normally 21", so, no.

Proving for every rule is an exception.
There is such a thing as 30x3.5" split rims. I have seen only 1 set on a T & understand they are common in Argentina.
They take a non clincher type non beaded tire. (I would like to find a set to match a tire purchase mistake.)
I have not even seen any singles @ swap meets.

If the front has 30 by 3 1/2" tires and those wheels are the same size, then you will need rims to fit the front. Those are clincher tires. They should match so you only need one spare to fit any of the wheels, so you will also need a rim for the spare.

Those felloes appear to be Hayes which require the matching rim with "footed" lug - see photos. Other rims will fit BUT if possible match them up.

I agree with Steve. They are likely Hayes rims. The relief in the felloe will take the Hayes rims with the foot on the lug. However, this means they can also take other brand rims with fixed lugs, so any fixed lug rim will suit.
John, my 1924 Tarrant special tourer had 4.40 x 23" tyres as part of the special package. BE tryes in that size are long gone. Instead, I have 4.40 x 23" straight sided tyres on Chev spit rims. Interestingly, one of these tyres I bought ready mounted on a clincher rim! Someone had spent a deal of time beating out the return lip on the rim, splitting it so the straight sided tyre could be mounted, and fitted it with the usual Kelsey loose lugs. It will be interesting if I ever get a flat in that tyre.
