Did anyone go to this auction? Did you find any T parts ? I went but it was too cold for me and I left before it started. I did see a Model T parked along the road

Hi Jim!

That was my T parked along the road. I couldn't find any exciting T things, lots of A stuff though. I ended up leaving empty handed after a couple of hours. I was waiting to bid on a tool box with a couple of rear axle bearings and miscellaneous T stuff, but it was taking forever to get there. There was a pile of rotten wood spoked wheels and some luggage racks on a hay wagon. I was hoping to bid on a muffler with cast iron ends and a jack I saw on the auction photos, but I couldn't find either in person. Over by the garage there was a rusty improved cowl tank. I saw a couple of NH carbs with a swivel, so I thought about buying those for parts. Overall, not that exciting unless you are into As and things were going, in my opinion, cheap. The complete Model A didn't meet reserve, so that was unsold. Even though it was a bust for me, I always enjoy the people watching and mingling. It was a beautiful 70 mile round trip to get there on back roads though!

I spent about a hour there and the only thing I saw of interest was a very nice 26-27 insturment panel. Wonder how they sold the stuff left in the buildings.

I was there for the entire auction and bought a few things, an original model T stamped steel end muffler/exhaust pipe assy., a model T low radiator steel firewall, a Dake arbor press, and a few hand tools. Most of the stuff went cheap in my opinion. The model A 4 door got bid up to $10k and didn't sell. A freshly rebuilt model A engine on a stand $1k, other rusty model A engines $60-$80, a rough dump bed on an AA chassis w/o engine under $100. Model A front and rear axles $20, pallets of model A wheels $20, pallets of model A iron $10. Do not know what some things went for as there were two auctioneers and I had to bounce back and forth. There were pallets of model A gas tanks, radiators, sheet metal, windshield frames, seats, doors, headlights, and so on. Stuff in the buildings sold by the piece for large things, in groups for smaller things like everything on the wall from here to here for one money, everything on the shelves for one money, etc. I parked on the side street and someone opened my topper and rifled thru my pickup bed and the two toolboxes but nothing was missing that I could tell.
