Now I understand why the younger generation is not quite interested in the Model T! She is trying to compare something made over 100 years ago with today's knowledge. The car was very good for the purpose it was intended. Not a rich person's toy, but a practical source of transportation suitable for the times and as we would call today, "Affordable"

Some "experts" are profoundly ignorant of their subject.

If someone is turned off to the model T by its lack of things or they cant plug there phone in GOOD! we don't need them in the hobby.
I believe the next generation for this car will be a special one. but I am sure it will soldier on

I think you are taking her comments the wrong way.

Her comments are "Tongue-N-Cheek" as she compares what is now to what was back then.

One of my favorite Dave Barry columns was about people he called the humor impaired. He used the example of a joke about Richard Nixon having to wear electric underwear that would give him a shock whenever he told a lie. Dave said there were three possible reactions to that joke. Some people's reaction would be, "Ha ha, that's the way to stick it that geek Nixon." Another reaction would be, "How dare you ridicule our wonderful former president?" In both cases, it would be recognized that the joke was a joke. But a third group would write long, serious letters explaining why electric underwear as a lie detector would not work. Those folks are the humor impaired. :D

After seeing her observation about the Model T I’m not to sure she is being serious about it. This may be called negative humor by some folks or as Steve Jelf reminds us in his post.

But we do have to remember there are folks on you tube who promote themselves. This is one of them.
