Puttering in the shop: Waking up a Kingston L-4 carb

Kingston L-4 carbs are known to be docile running carbs at best, at worst, they starve for fuel at high speeds and when climbing long/steep grades. I've never been a fan of them, but that may be about to change...
Here's a new float valve body on the left, with increased through-put, and a Viton-compatible seat, compared to a factory body shown on the right. In case you are wondering, the flow area is increased just over 100% to the original. No more fuel pumps, no more 5/16 fuel lines, no more "vapor lock", no more nothing. Just more fuel to the bowl where it needs to be, when it needs to be.
And here it is finished, with the old metal tip in the trash where it belongs, and is now sporting a custom Viton-tipped needle with a modern hook to "pull" it open (no more stuck-closed Viton tips).
