Looking for the size and thread count on late model exhaust manifolds. Also any sources for the appropiate die
Thanks in advance

Here's a die for $42.00. I bought one a while back. Pretty nice quality but took a while to arrive from China. I had to break my rule of not buying from Chinese sellers, which was hard pill for me to swallow.

The last time I saw one of the new exhaust manifolds it was the 25-27 style. If you want the earlier type it may have to be an original.

A friend of mine, who also participates in this thread, had a manifold with unsalvageable threads that he was desperate to save. He took it to a machinist who cut off the damaged threaded end and then made a new end with more common coarse threads and welded the end to the manifold. Then the machinist made a new nut (from steel) with threads to match the new threads on the manifold. I'm sure he had a manifold worth its weight in gold by the time all was said and done, but with the nut screwed on, you can't tell its not original.

If you can deal with the welding aspect, a common pipe union could be adapted for connecting header pipe and manifold. Welding might be avoided by inserting a pipe nipple or short length of exhaust pipe in the manifold outlet and securing it with a bolt.

I bought a new one for my 21 Touring. Worked fine for me.
