Made a mount for my hand operated horn.

I had a working hand operated horn that I wanted to mount on the car but didn’t want to drill holes in the body. So, I made a mount and some leather straps to attach it to the spare wheel on the running board. While I was at it, I stripped the horn, replaced the gaskets, oiled the mechanism, greased the diaphragm, and painted it. Now it’s just where I want it and ready to go come spring.

Morgan, that is really clever! It's really well done, and I like it

That's about as neat a job as I have ever seen. Well done. The straps are a clever solution, rather than screwing the bracket to the tyre

Well, from the cracks visible in my spare, putting screws in it might not be much of a loss. My only complaint is that I can’t put a “repeal the 18th amendment” spare tire cover on with the horn mounted. But since I don’t have an electronic horn on the car at the moment, I need the hand horn.
