Anyone Stamping Firewall Data Plates?
R.V Anderson (R.I.P) had a set of numbers made up to stamp the data plates. https://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/ ... 24665.html
I had a radiator tag stamped by him but never got my dash plate stamped… any one have any idea what became of his numbers to stamp the plates?

Mike,
You could probably find an engraver shop that has an olde time font. I have seen both the fancy font as well as the plain font like on these 1/8" stamps at Harbor Freight.

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Re: Anyone Stamping Firewall Data Plates?
Someplace and sometime ago, I saw a photo of the device used to stamp the engine numbers.
The handle looked like the handle used to lift the round lids off a cook stove to add more wood.
The other difference was a rectangular slot that would hold 8 3/8th inch square number stamps.
There was a thumb screw on the end that would lock them in place once the correct number was selected.
I have never been able to find that photo again.

Re: Anyone Stamping Firewall Data Plates?
I'm curious to know if someone bought his set of stamps after he passed away?
