Questions about my 1916 touring

Happy Thanksgiving!
This car is my first automobile restoration project. So I am asking you a couple questions.
When I picked up the car there were three sets of headlights and several brass horns and several parts like bulbs and hoses to the horn.
My questions are did the 16 come with a horn? Also what headlights, carbide or electric?
Thanks for the info.

Send some pics of the parts you got with the car and would help.

The bulb horn was not offered for the 1916. Only about half of 1915s got bulb horns. The rest, like 1916 and later, got electric horns.

Early 15s had carbide then electric magneto in series after that through to 16???? They used 9-volt bulbs because the magneto could produce at least 18 volts. The downside was if one burned out, they both went out.

Additional note about the 16s is the wood firewall had about 22 revisions by the end of 16 so there may not find two the same.

As the other guys have mentioned, the change of horns from bulb to electric came in 1915. So your 1916 would have a magneto horn. It was little or no better than the bulb horn. In period photos of late teens Fords you often see an aftermarket mechanical horn because the owners wanted something louder than a mag horn's puny little bleat. If your car will be in judged shows you want it to have the correct mag horn, but for actual driving you want to add that accessory mechanical horn.
Here's a page about your car's magneto headlights: https://dauntlessgeezer.com/DG117.html
